3(x − 2) = 12

  1. Check the gapDoes undoing multiplication make sense yet? If 3 × something = 12, the something is 4.
  2. Explainx − 2 = 4, so x = 6. Why each step is allowed, in plain words.
  3. Guided practiceYour child solves 5(x + 1) = 30, with hints only when needed.
  4. Progress checkx = 5 ✓ Solved independently. Next: equations with x on both sides.

Why families reach out

When math starts to feel harder, there is usually a reason

Many difficulties trace back to an earlier idea that never fully settled. That is common, and it can be worked on with explanations at the right pace.

Math builds upward. Secure the missing idea, and everything above it steadies.
  • Your child follows along in class but gets stuck when working alone.
  • An earlier topic, such as fractions, integers or ratios, was never fully understood.
  • New units feel confusing because they build on skills that are not secure yet.
  • Explanations at school move faster than your child’s understanding.
  • You would like structured practice and a clearer picture of progress.

The goal is not to get tonight’s homework done. It is understanding your child can use on their own.

The Jaagrut approach

How each lesson builds independence

Lessons combine explanation, guided practice, corrections and progress checks, so your child knows what comes next and you can see how they are getting on.

  1. Find the gaps

Identify the prerequisite ideas a topic depends on, and start where your child’s understanding is secure.

  2. Explain clearly

Teach each concept in plain language, adjusted to how your child understands it today.

  3. Practise with guidance

Work through problems together, with the teacher stepping back as your child gains confidence.

  4. Correct and give feedback

Look at mistakes as they happen and explain why, so the same error does not repeat.

  5. Check progress

Use short checks to confirm a skill is secure before moving on to the next one.

Lessons are adapted to your child’s provincial curriculum and school requirements, or to the SAT or college course they are taking.

How it works

From first message to first lesson

You stay in control at every step. Nothing is booked or paid for until you have agreed a plan.

  1. Send an enquiry Free

Tell us your child’s grade or course, what they need help with, and how to reach you. It takes about two minutes.

  2. Free math assessment Free

Your child completes an assessment suited to their grade or course, using Google Forms.

  3. Discuss the findings Free

We talk through the results with you and recommend how often lessons would help.

  4. Paid trial lesson CAD 25

If you would like to continue, we arrange a trial. Its length and terms are confirmed with you before you pay.

  5. Agree a learning plan

After your feedback on the trial, we agree the program and weekly schedule with you in writing.

  6. Begin learning

You prepay for your chosen plan, and live lessons begin on Microsoft Teams.

The assessment is not a free lesson, and it does not commit you to anything.

Its purpose is to understand where your child is, so any recommendation is based on evidence. Lesson times are confirmed by the team in your time zone. Sending the form does not book a time.
